Group Fitness Class Descriptions
The BARRE class combines Pilates, yoga, and ballet moves to give you sculpted, lean muscles. It will include a series of upper body exercises, standing and seated leg exercises, and abdominal exercises. BARRE burns select muscle groups to their fullest potential and then stretches and elongates that same muscle group.
BodyPump is for everybody. Welcome to the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body! This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight get you the results you came for and fast! Classes are limited in size, so please arrive early!
Same great BodyPump class, only 45 minutes length. Perfect workout for your lunch hour!
Looking for a short, sharp workout that will inspire you to the next level of fitness, while strengthening and toning your body? CXWORX™ is for you! This 30-minute workout really hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body. Ideal for tightening your midsection and gluteals, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. It will help you run faster … play harder … stand stronger!
Using stationary bikes, an instructor coaches you through a high energy, calorie and fat burning session. The coach’s commands and the pounding beat of the music while cycling side by side with others builds energy and provides motivation. This class can accommodate beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of fitness because you control the bike’s resistance. Everyone should bring a water bottle to every class. Class is limited in size, you are encouraged to reserve your bike up to one day in advance at the front desk or call (402)371-9770.
Similar to group cycling but still a great 30 minute workout for you over your lunch hour. You are encouraged to reserve your bike up to one day in advance.
This 45 minute class is a mix of kettlebell, pilates, free weights, bands and more to get you fit for life.
A quick 20 minute routine that will challenge the way you work your core muscles. This workout is for the person who wants to tone and define their midsection. From basic crunches to Pilates moves, this workout will let you see and feel the results. No time is wasted—come prepared to work hard!
As advertised on tv, this class uses Max Interval Training, 3-5 minutes of high intensity exercises, followed by short recovery.
This class is specific to the population suffering from neurological disorders, such as MS, Parkinson’s, RA, Fibromyalgia, etc. It will be a safe exercise environment with goals of increasing range of motion, improving strength and balance, and socialilzing with patients with the same limitations.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity of daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are all offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers – Cardio Circuit
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
T-N-T (Tighten N Tone)
This class works on muscular strength by toning and shaping your entire body. By utilizing hand and ankle weights, tubing, medicine and stability balls, you will increase your metabolism, improve lean muscle mass, and decrease body fat. For all fitness levels.
This 30 minute class will combine TRX suspension training with BOSU ball exercises. TRX is a workout that leverages gravity and your bodyweight for an effective total body workout. The BOSU ball is utilized for balance and strength exercises.
Traditional mat work combined with small apparatus to help you isolate your core muscles by focusing on quality of the movement instead of quantity. Become long and lean with a fitness regime that’s been around for 100 years.
This yoga class uses a mix of traditional asanas, flowing vinyasas, and gentle yoga. Emphasis is placed on spinal movements, neck and shoulder releases, and hip openers. Come and experience the mind/body connection that yoga can provide.
As seen on T.V.! Yes, Zumba is here! This class combines Latin moves and great music with early to learn moves that will get you hooked. A great cardio workout to add variety and fun to your routine. The workouts are interval based, combining fast and slow rhythms and resistance training to tone and sculpt your body.
This is a specialty class for the beginner to the active older adult. It’s everything you love about Zumba, with movements and pace modified to help you get and stay fit, the fun way!
