Lifeguard Training
We will be offering our Fall Lifeguard Training, October 19th-25th. Our course is taught through the American Red Cross. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive: Lifeguard certification, good for 3 years; First Aid certification, good for 3 years; and CPR/AED certification, good for 1 year.
This course does HAVE a $75 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT due at the time of registration. This deposit will NOT BE refunded if the pretest is failed! Pretest may only be taken once! Total course costs are: $125 for members ($75 remaining after deposit), $250 for non members ($175 remaining after deposit). The remaining amount is due by 7:00pm on October 19th!
Pretest Requirments:
1.) Swim 300 yards: 100 Front Crawl, 100 Breast Stroke, 100 Front Crawl or Breast Stroke
2.) Slide into the water, swim 20 yds, surface dive to the bottom (10-12FT), retreive a 10 lb. object, swim on the back to the starting wall, place the object on the deck and climb completely out of the pool into a standing position with in 1 minute and 40 seconds or less.
Course will meet:
Pretest segment – Sunday, October 19th – 4:30pm
Course materials – Monday – Friday, October 20-24 – 5-10PM
Final testing day – Saturday, October 25th – 8am-1pm
FULL PARTICIPATION IN ALL THE TIMES LISTED ABOVE IS REQUIRED!
