Y Kids Club
Y Kids Club is looking for donations of children’s books, ranging for children ages 5-12. We will accept picture books, easy reading books, chapter books, etc. (used or new). The books will be distributed among our 5 Kids Club locations for the children’s enjoyment. They can be dropped off at the YMCA, attention to Shayla or Kids Club. Thank you!
Y Kids Club is a state licensed school aged child care program offered in five elementary schools in Norfolk – Bel Air, Jefferson, Montessori at Lincoln, Westside, and Woodland Park.
Y Kids Club provides Before and After School Child Care at the schools. Before Care begins as early as 6 a.m. until school begins, and After Care begins as soon as school is dismissed until 6 p.m. Y Kids Club is also available from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the YMCA on School Out Days, Holiday Break Days, Snow Days, and Summer.
Registration is always open for the 2011/2012 School Year. Enrollment Packets are available at the YMCA or you may print it off of our website (in the column to the right). This packet includes all required paperwork to begin the Y Kids Club program, program rates, policies & procedures, and the Parent Handbook.
Registration for next school year (2012/2013) will begin in June 2012. Once Enrollment is ready, the Enrollment Packet will be available in the column to the right. Early Enrollment ensures that the program is ready when school starts (Thursday, August 16, 2012).
Monthly Calendars are also available on our website (in the column to the right). Please note the days your child comes to the Y for swimming and other activities!
Starting January 2012, children who attend either Grant or Washington are welcome to become a part of Y Kids Club at one of the participating schools: Bel Air, Jefferson, Montessori at Lincoln, Westside, or Woodland Park. If you are able to transport your child from school to a participating Y Kids Club location, then Y Kids Club is available to you! Your child is able to participate in After Care at one of the above schools until 6 pm. All Day Care is offered at the YMCA from 6 am to 6 pm on School Out Days, Snow Days, and Holiday Breaks. (Transportation not provided/same fees apply.)
