Youth Sports

Our sports programs keep kids active, teach friendly competition and introduce healthy practices for life. Explore our activities and learn why physical activity is so important for a child’s growth and well-being.

DRESS CODE FOR YOUTH SPORTS

Leagues

  • Volleyball - Knee pads, tennis shoes, no jewelry
  • Soccer - Shin guards, tennis shoes or non-metal cleats, no jewelry
  • Basketball - Tennis shoes, no jewelry
  • T-Ball - Tennis shoes, glove, no jewelry (tees, bats, balls, and helmets are provided, however, if child brings their own, please make sure to label items)
  • Tae Kwon Do - Athletic clothing, hair tied back (uniforms can be purchased through instructors)

Camps

  • Tennis Camp - Tennis shoes, water bottle, no jewelry. If possible, bring own racket as equipment is limited.
  • Volleyball Camp - Knee pads, tennis shoes, no jewelry
  • Football Camp - Tennis shoes or non-metal cleats, no jewelry

Clinics

  • Jumpstarter Basketball Clinic - Tennis shoes, no jewelry
  • Kickstarter Soccer Clinic - Tennis shoes or non-metal cleats, no jewelry. Shin guards are not required.
  • Volleyball Basics Clinic - Tennis shoes, no jewelry. Knee pads are not required.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY

  • When Norfolk schools have a 10:00am late start – Group Fitness classes begin at noon. Evening child watch only.
  • When Norfolk schools cancel school – No fitness classes, child watch, youth activities (sports, Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics, swim lessons, youth fitness), adult sports, or training courses/social events.
  • When Norfolk schools have early dismissal – No fitness classes, evening child watch, evening youth activities (sports, Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics, swim lessons, youth fitness), adult sports, or training courses/social events.

When games or practices are cancelled, a notice will be posted on our Facebook page and a text alert will be sent.
